I’m Janine and I run Paws and Release Clinical Canine Massage in Hertfordshire and the surrounding areas.
I have been very lucky to always have a dog in my life. Growing up, I've had the pleasure of sharing adventures with a German Shepherd, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Airedales and a Weimaraner. My adventures continue with my dogs Hettie the Welsh Terrier and Cully the cockerpoo.
I was introduced to Canine Massage Therapy, with my Weimaraner Grace. Together we did a lot of miles, walking up peaks and following costal paths.
I noticed that she was slowing down, and wanted to give her some extra care and attention. Finding Canine Massage Therapy gave her the flow and 'Grace' back that she always had. We both enjoyed the experience and the visible difference in Grace was amazing.
Due to this experience, I took my other dog Hetty for a massage as she was suffering with allergies and this was effecting her skin and fur. Again, the results was amazing, this lead me to do a beginner’s course with the Canine Massage Therapy Centre.
Since then, I have trained with Canine Massage Therapy Centre Ltd for 2 years, under the guidance of Natalie Lenton (founder) and delivered Lenton Method™ of canine massage.
It doesn't stop there - each year, I am reviewed by Natalie and continue training across 25 hrs of CPD.
I provide a mobile service, where the sessions take place in your home so as not to stress out your canine companion by introducing a different environment or travelling in the car.
I was lucky enough to attend Dogfest @ Knebworth Hertfordshire for the second year running with the Canine Massage Guild (who I trained with).
This show is a great show to exchange knowledge with owners of all different breeds.
This is the first year of the Dog Zone @ The Herts County Show.
Despite the weather forecast, we got to see many different breeds of dogs and spread the word of what we can do as Complementary Therapists in the Canine world.
Please come along to the Walkern Hall Country Fair and Dog Show on the 30th August 2025.
I will be there offering free muscular Health checks for your dogs.
